I hired the BMX Centre for my sons 12th birthday party and it was an amazing experience.

£140 per hour for 16 kids - The price includes an empty track closed to everyone else, 2 professional coaches, all equipment (helmets, pads, gloves etc) and bikes.. You just need to turn up… All 16 kids said it was by far the best birthday party they had ever been to.

The BMX Centre is close to the 'Beautiful' Manchester City ground, inside the National Cycling Arena (Which is home to the Velodrome)… The velodrome is a training ground for Bradley Wiggins, Cavendish, Chris Hoy and a whole bunch of our Olympians… This truly is a great place with a high feel good factor.

I definitely recommend taking your kids to the BMX Track, and viewing the races on the velodrome.

Best cinema around for me!

Took my kids to watch Real Steel at the IMAX last night... It's not cheap by any means, but the experience is amazing.

We usually get tickets for the Gallery - A little more expensive but you get to sit above the regular cinema seats in a segregated area (balcony) where you can drink beer / wine and make up for your extra ticket prices by overdoing the free popcorn, nachos, sweets and soft drinks :)

The beauty about the Odeon (Or FilmWorks as I know it) is the fact that's its located inside the 'PrintWorks'... So plenty of places to dine before or after your movie if you are making a night of it.

Friendly pub, good food and a great quiz night - They are even dog friendly if you walking.

Eating outside is quite pleasant (If the weather is on your side of course)

Sadly I have to agree with the other reviews here... I think the food 'was' good when I first started using Riverside, but lately it's just gone downhill.

The last 3 deliveries had fried rice missing every time... It definitely spoils the night when you are have friends around and have to crack open some crappy uncle bens microwave rice to pull it together.

One mistake is easy to get over, two is frustrating... Third time in a row and this place loses my business and my vote... The guy is fine the woman who runs the place is an angry and cold person.

I definitely think you should avoid this place!!!

I bought an entry(ish) level Specialized mountain bike from Leisure Lakes to start getting fit, and to see if I can get the buzz for those wet Sundays behind Peel Tower.

I am loving it, and I really enjoy the great service they offer at LL... Amazing staff, great prices and a big range of everything.

...About to go in for my Free 6 week tune up :)
