Setting up your email on iPhone/iPad – iOS7

This walkthrough applies to both the iPhone and iPad running iOS. The process is exactly the same.

Step 1.

Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on your iPhone / iPad.

Step 2.

Click on the ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’ link in your settings menu.

Click on the ‘Add Account’ link in the ‘ACCOUNTS’ section.

Step 4.

Click on the ‘Other’ link at the bottom of ‘Add Account’ screen.

Step 5.

Click on the ‘Add Mail Account’ link.

Step 6.

Fill in all the fields and click ‘Next’ at the top.

Step 7.

Fill in all the fields and click ‘Next’ at the top. It will then verify the account settings are correct.

Step 8.

After settings are verified it will jump to the ‘IMAP’ screen. Just click ‘Save’ top right.

Step 9.

Your email is now added. You can jump back to the home screen and press the ‘Mail’ icon to send and receive emails.

Editing your email on iPhone/iPad – iOS7

This walkthrough applies to both the iPhone and iPad running iOS. The process is exactly the same.

Step 1.

Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on your iPhone / iPad.

Step 2.

Click on the ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’ link in your settings menu.

Step 3.

Click on the email account you need to edit / check in the ‘ACCOUNTS’ section.

Step 4.

Click on the Account under the IMAP section.

Step 5.

Check all the settings are correct. The incoming and outgoing host name should be vps.gomyhosting.co.uk Your User Name should be your email address and your Password should be your email account Password. Once you’ve checked all these settings click on the Outgoing SMTP server at the bottom.

Step 6.

Make sure the Primary Server (at the top) is set to vps.gomyhosting.co.uk – click on this to check the outgoing settings.

Step 7.

Check all the Outgoing server settings. Host Name should be vps.gomyhosting.co.uk User Name should be your email address and Password should be your email account password. Make sure Use SSL is active, Authentication is set to ‘Password’ and the Server Port is 465. If all this is correct you can click ‘Done’ in the top right, then back to the ‘Account’ screen and click ‘Done’ again in the top right. Then you can navigate back to the settings screen and you should be all setup and your emails will be working.
