Gluhwein at the ready..... Yup it’s that time of year again, the Manchester Christmas Markets are back!!
Every year the Christmas Markets transform the City with their charming wooden chalets. While you browse the bustling stalls, soaking up the atmosphere beneath the twinkling lights you cannot help but get wrapped in the Christmas spirit!
The Christmas Markets are located in Albert Square, St Ann's Square, Exchange Street, New Cathedral Street and Brazennose Street within the City Centre.
Albert Square is chock-full of a huge array of food and drink stalls. Beer halls, hot cider and Gluhwein houses provide the ideal winter warmer, alongside the famous German swing grill serving bratwurst sausages.
The market is spilling over with sweet treats such as pancakes, hot strudel, waffles, mini-pancakes and French pastries, alongside macaroons, Brittany biscuits, gingerbread, cakes chocolates, and sweets.
One-off hand crafted decorations, jewellery, Christmas trees, bonsai trees and flowers galore. One off fashions are on sale as well as hand-crafted unusual gifts from across Europe.
A firm favourite with everyone in Manchester. Especially the old folks.
