this chip shop is DA best! on Saturdays i just buy my self a massive box of chips and sit there eating them. The owner, Keith, is a great and very sociable guy but i find his son, Alex, very annoying.

Monty's serves up good, solid chips (and all manner of related foods) at good prices right in the main market square. Take out or sit and eat at one of the half-dozen tables. Not being so hungry, I shared a portion of chips and was more than pleased. Saw another chip shop down the road, but for me Monty's is the one.
Btw, a day out in Leek on the third Saturday of the month will ensure you also get to enjoy the delights of the Fine Food market in the town square, just by Monty's.
