Took my kids to Queens park while passing the other day - I haven't been here since i was 11, but it was just how I remembered it (only with bigger trees).
Fair enough this isn't the Cotswold's its Heywood, so if you can dodge the odd floating crisp packet and keep your kids away from the murky water its great. Boating lake (minus the boats), Bowling Green, Playground and the BMX track is still there after 20 years or so :)
They even have a new fitness area were you can work out by lifting and shifting your own body weight - It's a great addition to get kids interested with exercise.. I need to go every day for a year to do me any good, but it's great fun all the same.
All in all, its actually a really good park, and I will definitely go back with my kids whenever I am passing.
