I have to admit I would have given Frankie & Benny's a 1 star review if I found your site earlier. For years it had always been the kind of place I seemed to end up for somebody's birthday - And the food was always terrible.
Last Sunday I went out of choice for a 'one last time try' and the food and service were absolutely brilliant. I am not sure if this was an anomaly of a day, or if they were expecting the restaurant police to turn up, but it was faultless.
We had arrived right on lunchtime opening time, so maybe spirits were a little higher earlier in the day / maybe there was a new chef doing his best to impress... But all in all the food and service were excellent (Best Tip I Can Give: Go at opening time),

I agree with Helen Unfortunately the whole experience was lacking in something, The restaurant was nice, and the staff friendly enough, but the food was overpriced and not very good at all. I paid nine-pound-something for a burger that really wasn't worth it, and with just some fries and a tiny pot of sauce it could have been better. The poor slow service made us late for the film.

Whilst I like the decor of the restaurant I was very disappointed with the service...it was very slow and it seemed hard work just to get another drink. Everyone else I was with seemed to enjoy their food, however I had spaghetti carbonara and it was awful, first it came out freezing cold, they heated it up but it just had no flavour to it
