Fantastic food, fantastic staff, fantastic atmosphere. Very pleased with visit. Enjoyed the meal immensely and kids loved playing in the beer garden on the activity playground.
A brilliant place for everyone.

Had an amazing starter and main course! I am not one for big chips, but their chips are great!! Staff are very friendly, and both meals came to under £20! Deal done! Would definitely go again!

The Hopwood is a fantastic place to eat or simply just to meet up and drink.
Although from Rochdale originally we now live down in Dorset and as much as we love it down there, it is missing a Hopwood Arms!!! Everytime we come up to visit family we visit the Hopwood several times without fail!! Our children, age 12 and 14 pester us to go from the minuite we start our journey to the North!!
The food is delicious and very reasonably priced as are the drinks. And to top off a great visit the landlord and staff always make sure our visit is a brilliant one.
Highly recommended by The Berry Family!!!

Would give no stars if i could. pretty dire pub, garden for kids smelling of dog crap and food was not dissimilar. They managed to forget one order and completely bring wrong mean for another. Apart from that, great place

Chips just like your mother made!!
I stopped by the Hopwood Arms a few days ago... The sign that said "Home cooked food" kind of grabbed me just at the right time.. What was supposed to be a quick 20 minute fuel up turned into a really good 2 hours.
There was a family eating and they all had something 'n' chips... All sounds very normal of course but these chips were by far the best looking chips I had ever seen - Golden brown, very thick and cut very square and precise, even the kids were making towers out of them... So I ordered chili and chips myself... It was fantastic, and tasted even better than it looked... Just like the kids on the next table, I made a chip tower that would have made my own kids proud.
The Landlord is called 'Jimmy' and he has just taken over the pub... Great guy and very welcoming.
For all you wi-fi hunters, this is a good place to meet and do business.
