When you first walk through the door you prepare yourself for a great night out. The bar overlooks Kendals and you have the impression you have entered one of Manchesters cool locations - you ha vent.
As soon as you set foot on the first floor restaurant you have your doubts. Waiters / chefs wandering around with meat trolleys and skewers, salads going limp at a salad bar and co-diners wanting to warn you of the over priced poor quality meal you are about to consume.
A shame really as Bem sets itself up as a medium to top end diner and the reality is low to medium. I think it could have a more lasting impression based on good quality food, however it somehow relies on gimmicks to survive.
