Marc Jacobs long red coat + Paul Smith tie + Anya Hindmarch blose + Miu Miu scarf (total £150) = Very Happy Bunny!!!!

Of course by far most of the stuff is not designer – but I’m a pretentious snob so no Urban Outfitters or Topshop for me. And …… Ama I gonna tell anyone where I bought this stuff?

Not with my real name!

I’ve just found this Oxfam shop In Drury Lane (Covent Garden). It’s a bit off the beaten track, right next to all the dance shops.

But BOY what a find!? About a 3rd of its clothes & accessories still have the original commercial retailers price ticket on them, so I presume they get loads of their donations from their neighbours – like all other Oxfam shops huh?!

Anyhow – I picked up a beautiful red Karen Millen coat for only £50! On my salary I would definitely not ever be able to afford the going price, so I’m chuffed to bits!

One word of caution though: It is still a charity shop, so even though the volunteers when I visited were very helpful – you still have to look through rails & rails worth of stuff to find the hidden gem. Everything’s a one-off.

I heard a customer ask the (well fit) volunteer if he had the same item ‘but in a size 14?’ He was so patient in explaining that all the items for sale had been donated ‘by lovely people just like you ma’am’.

Anyhow – I’m off to impress my mates with my new jacket in Olympic Westfield, and will not stop bragging about where I bought it. Just like I’m doing now!

You know, I’ve worked in Covent Garden for 5 years now, and never ever saw this shop until the top half of Long Acre was closed off to pedestrians last week. The detour gave me this beautiful gift of an Oxfam shop.

I love everything about it, and will visit it a few times a week, but in the meantime, thanks for the Oasis suit! My colleagues think I look great. Thanks Oxfam in Drury Lane!

Wow! What a find?!

We stumbled on this lovely Oxfam shop while shopping in Bloch next door. And spent more time & money in there than in a high end dance shop – can you believe?!

Actually – there were loads of dance items in this Oxfam shop as well – and loads cheaper than Bloch. But it was everything else that was very impressive.

I found some Asos stuff very reasonably priced – and brand new. Some very high kitten heels (the boyfriend doesn’t know what’s in store for him next weekend). And a great thick fake fur coat for these brrrrrrr days.

The others also found lovely things, even though we are all very different sizes. The common words here are ‘found’ – and that’s what this shop is for. Don’t go in looking for a particular thing. Just go in looking for ‘anything’. And if you keep your mind open – and experiment in the changing rooms – then you’ll be a very happy bunny.

I guess that’s the same for all charity shops, but this is deffo the best one I’ve been in so far.

Oh – one word of warning. They close at 6pm, so when we were still faffing around at 7pm – they started hovering at the other end of the shop and closed off that end with some boards. Go early – and avoid being hoovered up.

Still – they’re all volunteers and I suppose they also have homes to go to.
