Classic Celebration Cakes

I Phoned up Classic Cakes just recently and ordered a cake and paid in full. I then found out that another member of the family had already ordered a cake so I phoned them up within a week to cancel it and was told that I had to pay 25% of the order for cancelling it. I said that I wasnt told this when ordering and the owner called Neil spoke to me and was very rude and said that he didn`t have to tell me and that he was within his rights and made it quite clear in no uncertain terms that he was only refunding 75% of the price! Surely this isn`t the right way to treat your customers especially as the cake wasn`t required until the 17th December so no cost at all had been incurred on their part. I have used this company in the past when they were located in Hazel Grove and that is why I went back so to be treated like this I found very upsetting. On their website they state that they have made cakes for royalty but it`s the ordinary day to day people that are his bread and butter. So BEWARE before ordering a cake from CLASSIC CAKES whose prices have gone up considerably that if you have a problem or want to cancel however quickly after your order you will be charged 25% of the price and you will be faced with a very unreasonable man who obviously doesn`t feel any loyalty to his customers and whose cakes may be nice to eat but will leave a very nasty taste in your mouth! I certainly won`t be using them again!
